Immaginiamoci stesi sul letto di un fiume, lo sguardo rivolto verso la luce.
Adagiati come sedimenti, in un torpore confuso e sordo. Cerchiamo, guardando verso l’alto, un bagliore di luce, un frammento, un riflesso. In superficie la corrente fa scorrere rapidamente le acque e guizzi di luce creano ammassi intricati di parole confuse. “Sedimenti, confluenze glaciali e sommerse mutano lentamente nello scorrere del suono e del tempo. The art gallery Produzentengalerie in Passau, Germany, celebrates 30 years of activity and opens the new year with the exhibition Mélan Hýdōr (Black Water), curated by Hubert Huber and Monica Pirani.
The project grew out of a collaboration between the German gallery, Fenster Laboratori, and the artists Massimo Ballardin, Fabio Guerra, Belinda Guerriero & Luigi Turra, and Hubert Huber.
The three rivers Ilz, Inn, and Danube meet in the historic center of Passau and converge into the Danube.Mélan Hýdōr, from Homeric Ancient Greek, translates as dark water. The ancient Greek navigators feared the deep, dark, and mysterious waters they avoided, always staying close to the coasts — a metaphor for our contemporary times.
“Mélan Hýdōr connects the flow of dark waters with the uncertain and subjective conditions of the future that awaits us. How far can we endure uncertainty?”

La galleria d’arte Produzentengalerie di Passau - Germania, celebra 30 anni di attività e inaugura il nuovo anno con la mostra Mélan Hýdōr (Black Water) curata da Hubert Huber e Monica Pirani. Il progetto nasce dalla collaborazione della galleria tedesca con il Fenster Laboratori e con gli artisti Massimo Ballardin, Fabio Guerra, Belinda Guerriero & Luigi Turra e Hubert Huber. I tre fiumi Ilz, Inn e Danubio, s’incontrano nel centro storico di Passau, e convergono nel Danubio.
Mélan Hýdōr, dal greco antico di Omero, si traduce in acqua oscura. Gli antichi navigatori greci temevano le acque profonde, oscure e misteriose che evitavano, rimanendo sempre vicini alle coste. Metafora della nostra contemporaneità."Mélan Hýdōr, mette in relazione il flusso delle acque oscure con le condizioni insicure e soggettive del futuro che ci attende. Fino a che punto sopportiamo l'incertezza?
L’arte e la cultura riflettono le nostre emozioni e si confermano il linguaggio necessario per consentire alla realtà di emergere e stimolare in noi un cambiamento, sempre e comunque, nonostante le forze dirompenti".
